Our goal is to learn by playing and inviting children to participate in shared experiences and controlled experiments. The classes will be conducted not only in the field, but also in our camp laboratory, where we will use both simple materials and various equipment and devices for our discoveries.
Curious Ravens Zone
👨🔬Flour - the queen of home experiments, with which each of us has it at home, but has everyone tried to receive it themselves? Potato, wheat and corn flour, what's the difference? We will spend time together playing with non-Newtonian liquid, which we will prepare from starch obtained from potatoes.
👨🔬Laboratory. In the laboratory, during our experiments, we will see how to make a volcano, a rocket, a thunderstorm in a jar and artificial snow on your own. We will learn the safety rules in the laboratory.
👨🔬Mixture or solution? How do they differ and what do they look like? What dissolves in water, what mixes with it? It will be a class with crazy potions! We will try, like real scientists, to describe their appearance, properties and examine the pH. Don't know what the pH scale is? You will find out during these classes.
👨🔬Magnetism. How does a magnet look and work? Can we see how it works? Does glass or wood stop the magnet? Which everyday objects have magnetic properties? Can you see the magnetic field? Can magnets levitate?
💧Secrets of water. The mystery of surface tension and soap bubbles will be solved. We will create a few bubble fluids at home and experimentally check which one is the best.
🧠Anatomy without secrets. We will learn many interesting facts about the human body with an anatomical model consisting of as many as 40 parts.
🍀Ecology. We will try to build our own small wind power plant to explore the possibilities of renewable energy. We will also create our own recycled designs. Will we find out what the greenhouse effect is?
☄️Meteorology. Using our camp meteorological station, we will check what parameters meteorologists use on a daily basis. We will create real scientific journals, with regular measurements, prepare graphs, examine the relationships between parameters. We will prepare a camp report with our observations and conclusions.
