On the first day at 3:00 p.m., there is a boarding and organizational meeting with the Captain 🧑✈️ and the Guardian, during which common rules of operation on the sailing ship are established⛵, including safety rules, division into watches, cruise plan and discussion of the basics of sailing etiquette.
We start the next days with a toilet, breakfast 🍽️ and taking care of the klar on the yacht. Depending on the needs and place of accommodation, we go on sightseeing, shopping or a short trip. Then we sail to the next port. Initially, the positions among the participants of the cruise are as follows: two people at the shots of the kliwra, two people at the shots of the grottoscope, two people at the rhea and two people at the cave. The Captain is responsible for the rudder, and the other guardian occupies changing positions, helping and educating young people in the correct work on sails.
As the days of the cruise pass, one of the couple may enjoy the views🌊, conversations or even reading their favorite book more while sailing📖, while the other person can handle both the leeward and leeward part of the sail. Therefore, young people have the opportunity to jointly decide on duties and their fair distribution, develop communication skills, responsibility and work in a group. These obligations also exist under the deck in the form of galley watches. Every day, one rotating couple with the help of a permanent crew member prepares three meals for the entire crew🍲, which are served at fixed times. Cooking together is not only a challenge, but also a fun 😄 and an opportunity to get to know each other better in task mode. It should be admitted that often meals prepared by young people did not stand out from the dishes served by an experienced cuckoo😉.
In addition to learning to work with sails and fulfill culinary duties, during sailing young enthusiasts participate in training on good sailing habits, safe behavior on the water, sailing theory, basics of navigation, water rescue🛟. They have the opportunity to ask inquisitive questions and the opportunity to listen to stories from deep-sea cruises, regattas or life on large sailing ships.
In the afternoons and evenings, in turn🎶, it's time to have fun together, integrate and often make long, long-term friendships. During the cruise, there is at least one bonfire 🔥 with baking your favorite delicacies, singing shanties together and for those willing – with the possibility of learning the basics of playing the guitar🎸. When the weather is not favorable, we are met by an officer's mess – a place to meet over a cup of hot tea☕, pudding or cocoa, where card games, board games and other integration games begin.
The cruise ends after a week at 10.00 a.m.
Meals are prepared by the participants of the cruise, divided into watches from fresh products purchased on site. All meals and prepared meals are supervised by the Guardian. There are three daily meals, including one warm (lunch/dinner) plus snacks including fruit and small sweets.
