Czarny Daniel Park
Black Daniel Park is a farm where deer, fallow deer and horses, sheep, llamas and goats are bred. This farm is located in Zawoja Podpolice in the Czarnotowa housing estate. Zawoja is surrounded by beautiful Beskid nature. When hiking in the mountains, you can admire beautiful landscapes. There are also monuments of nature or protected plants, which are in vain to be found in other regions of Poland. The world of fauna is also rich. Every true nature lover hopes to meet the animals living in our forests during their wanderings. Most often, he has to be satisfied with seeing their tracks and traces, and when he is more fortunate for a short while, he watches the deer fleeing from him. Noble deer, although numerous in the surrounding forests, are extremely difficult to find. They lead a nocturnal lifestyle, most often they feed in the late evening and early morning. During the day, they rest in the forest youths. In our farm, cervids are at your fingertips. Their observation brings a lot of satisfaction. Our fallow deer and deer, despite their limited living space, behave as in nature. They lead a herd lifestyle. They have an established hierarchy, they wander their trampled paths. Young for the first week of life are left by the hinds in the bushes. Bulls drop their antlers in late spring. In a word, a true nature lover at different times of the day and year can witness the different behaviors of these beautiful animals. We breed several dozen animals on our farm. In our "collection" of animals, we also have an extremely rare specimen, which is a white deer. Our hind's name is Ewelinka. Unfortunately, like any deer, it loves mud baths, thanks to which it becomes more gray than white.
Trip to Babia Góra
Babia Góra (Babia hora) – a mountain range in the Babia Góra Range belonging to the Żywiec-Orava Beskids in the Western Beskids [1]. The highest peak is Diablak (1724 m[2][3][4], German Teufelspitze, or Devil's Peak), often also called Babia Góra, like the entire massif. It is the highest peak of the Western Beskids and, apart from the Tatras, the highest peak in Poland, the second highest (after Śnieżka). It is included in the Crown of the Polish Mountains [5].
Walking tour to Mosorny Groń
Mosorny Groń (1047 m)[1][2], on the map of the Mosorna Geoportal (1044 m)[3] – an unremarkable peak in the western part of the Policy Range, which according to Jerzy Kondracki in the physical and geographical regionalization of Poland belongs to the Żywiec Beskids [4], in the newer regionalization of 2018 to the Żywiec-Orawski Beskids [5]. It is located in the side ridge deviating from Kiczorka to the west. This ridge separates the Mosorny Potok valley from the Jaworzynek stream valley flowing from the Krowiarka pass. The end of a wide ridge running from the summit to the north-west is the Skawica valley [6]. On the south-western slope there is the Mosorny Groń Tourist and Ski Center with a chairlift entering from Zawoja Policzne. The peak is a vantage point overlooking the Żywiec Beskids with Babia Góra, the Makowski Beskids and the Tatra Mountains[2].
Orava Ethnographic Park Museum
The beginnings of the first open-air museum in post-war Poland date back to the 1930s. It was then that the noble descendants of the sołtysio-lachecki family of Orava, the Moniacs, donated the remaining part of their patrimony to the State Treasury.
A trip to the Observation Point on Przysłup
The 25-meter-high observation tower located at 840 m above sea level gives you the opportunity to see beautiful views. From the top of the tower there is a view of all the hills in the area: Babia Góra, Police, Jałowiec, Beskid Mały, Beskid Śląski, Beskid Wyspowy, Gorce and even sometimes you can see Kraków.
Excursion to the Mini Zoo at Przysłupie
A garden with interesting animal species. You can see there typical animals for the Podbabiogórze region as well as more exotic ones, for example llamas. The Mini ZOO is located next to the Beskidski Raj Hotel. Animals in traditional culture were treated as family members. They helped in work, provided food and raw materials for clothing. They were not forgotten on the most important holidays. On Christmas Eve, there was a colorful wafer prepared for the animals on the table, at the first grazing in the spring they were incensed with holy herbs, and in Pentecost the cattle were decorated with wreaths and twigs. Wild creatures were also cared for. At a time when birds such as wild ducks or geese went to warm countries, on foggy evenings bonfires were lit near the houses and, for example, small boiled potatoes were displayed. When one of the birds lost its way in the fog, it landed by the fire and could eat. A beautiful custom and proof of a deep respect for nature.
